"We just completed a complete renovation of our newly purchased, but original condition, 1926 Tutor-style home by Gil and Levy Kempler and, we will never use another general contractor other than these two gentlemen.
In the past 25 years, I have rehabbed 5 homes, and was never satisfied and never used the same general contractor more than once. However, this time, we are thrilled with the work of this company in every single aspect and phase of work you could think of. Gil was here every day and ensured that every sub had the proper number of men for the work that was to be done in that phase, and inspected the work EVERY DAY!! I never had to point out a problem or concern because Gil was always one (actually 4 or 5) steps ahead of me. (When you renovate, rather than build new, you never really know what problems you are going to find until you remove the old wall, plumbing, etc. and Gil always had several options for us to consider when we were faced with a new, unforeseen problem.)"
I never received an invoice for work by the subs which was not previously reviewed, and if necessary, corrected by Gil. And the work product is fabulous. "Kempler and Co built a house addition for me on a tricky hillside lot. They worked closely with my architect, structural engineer, and the city to assure structural stability while paying close attention to aesthetics.
